Kochi: Thiruvananthapuram Mayor V V Rajesh did not receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport for security reasons, Kerala Kaumudi reported.

Minister Pinarayi Vijayan among others received him at the airport. Mayor receives VVIPs during their visit to the capital.
The mayor’s office security protocols led to Mayor missing out the customary reception.
Rajesh was assigned responsibilities at other venues related to the Prime Minister’s official programmes.
