P C George enemy of self

Kochi: The seventy-one-year old Planthottathil Chacko George has been an MLA a number of times since 1980, but has never got the privilege to become a minister for his own deeds.
It was his upstart demeanor which had prevented him from marching up the ladder of growth in his public life.
The only time when George got a break was only in 2011 when he was made Government Chief Whip when the UDF was in power under Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Though his demand was nothing short than a ministerial berth, Oommen Chandy, his party and members of the UDF lacked unanimity on the matter.
No political leaders have spoken in favour of him or stood by him, but all have used him to the hilt for their political needs.
Once he supported former Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, later he fell out with him. So was his case with former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Kerala Congress supremo K M Mani, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others.
He tried his luck with the saffron party but failed badly as the party itself is divided in the state and almost all leaders are leaving no stone unturned to come up with nudging the other.
He left BJP, planning to join the left front or the centrist party before the recent assembly elections. But no one even held serious parleys with him, forcing him to contest alone and lose in Poonjar.
George is also known for his uncivilized way of addressing women mainly during TV channel discussions.
Many have lodged complaints against him.
He had supported Jalandhar Bishop Franco Mukakkal accused of raping a nun.
George had also backed accused actor Dileep.
