PoK renounce Pak affinity

Kochi: Protesters in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir PoK on Tuesday said that they were not under the control of Pakistan.
The protest seeking freedom from governance, economic hardship, inflation, and state repression and administrative neglect entered the 22nd day at Eidgah Ground in Rawalakot on Tuesday, NDTV TV reported.
The region is also facing an internet blackout since June 5 as authorities attempt to restrict communication.
The protest, led by local figures, including civil rights activist Sardar Aman Khan, strengthened after Pakistan imposed a two-week blockade on food supplies and other essential goods.
Addressing protesters, Khan warned if the restrictions on food and other necessities continued, people in the region might look toward India for assistance.
Khan said that PoK was not part of Pakistan and claimed that Pakistan needed the region more than they depended on Pakistan.
Supporters living abroad have organised demonstrations outside Pakistani diplomatic missions in several countries.
