Kochi: A 30 year old pregnant woman who checked into a room of lodge in Thrissur on June 27 was found dead in the room on Tuesday.
She came to the lodge with an auto rickshaw driver who turned up at the lodge on Tuesday saying that the woman was not responding to phone calls.The lodge staff alerted the police and fire and Rescue department personnel who rushed to the spot and broke open the room to find the two dead.The deceased, who has been identified as native of Edamuttom in Thrissur, was found dead with her baby in a pool of blood, media reports said.
The auto rickshaw driver has been detained for questioning. The woman had lodged a criminal case against the driver a few years back even as denied knowing the deceased.
