Kochi: The Special Investigation Team took Unnikrishnan Potty into custody in connection with the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple gold missing case on Thursday, media reports said.
The SIT headed by ADGP H Venkatesh is interrogating Potty at a secret location.
Potty, who is the prime accused in the case, was picked from his residence at Pulimathu in Thiruvananthapuram.
His associate, Kalpesh, is the second accused.
All members of the Travancore Devaswom Board in the year 2019 have been named as the eighth accused in the case. The then Devaswom Commissioner N Vasu, Thiruvabharanam Commissioner, Executive Officer, Administrative Officer, and Assistant Engineer have also been booked.
The Kerala High Court directed the setting up of SIT to register a case into the case on October 10.
