Kochi: An Israel national and his fiancee, working at the Israeli Embassy, were killed outside a Jewish museum in downtown Washington DC, BBC reported.
The deceased were shot down while leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum, the reports said.
According to Israel’s ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter, the two were going to get engaged and the man had purchased a ring this week
Police detained the suspect, Elias Rodriguez, 30, who shouted “free Palestine” while being frisked away by the cops.
The US President Donald Trump has condemned the attack, while Israeli Premier Netanyahu said security will be beefed up for Israeli representatives and at diplomatic missions across the globe.
