Kochi: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that CPM is no longer a Left front as it had entered into a deal with the BJP.
Addressing a political rally seeking votes for the Congress front in Kannur, Rahul who is the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, said the CP has become extreme Right leaving behind the Left tag, media reports said.
He said the BJP and the CPM are now corporate parties.
Referring to expelled Left leaders T K Govindan V Kunhikrishnan, Rahul said that why they were sitting on the dais is obvious, he said.
Rahul accused BJP of protecting CPM leaders who were allegedly involved in stealing gold from Sabarimala temple.
This showed the association BJP had with CPM, he said.
