The state is expecting speedy clearance from the centre.
The Prime Minister said that he would discuss the matter with the Railway Minister on the matter, Pinarayi said.
Pinarayi said he had an informal meeting with the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav who on
the other hand said that the project had some problems like it was not interoperable.
There were ecological and environmental issues in implementing the project and there were public protests against it, Vaishnav said.
The Railways would take a fair decision on the matter that would be in favour of the state, Vaishnav said.
