Kochi: Traffic was disrupted near Varkala on Tuesday as a train hit an autorickshaw that fell into the railway line from Akathumuri station platform, Asianet News reported.
The autorickshaw entered the Akathumuri station platform while railway authorities remained clueless on December 23.
Vande Bharat train hit the autorickshaw with no one inside it as the inebriated driver escaped after his vehicle fell into the track.
Railway Police have booked the autorickshaw driver Sudhi and the Railways have started investigation as to how the autorickshaw entered the platform without railway officials notice.
