Kochi: Leading readymade garment exporter Sabu M Jacob today demanded arrest of CPM Legislator P V Sreenijan in connection with the death of Twenty20 leader Deepu on Friday.
Sreenijan should be booked as prime accused in the case as he had conspired to kill Deepu professionally with the help of CPM killers last Saturday.
He had met him before and after the killing, Sabu told reporters here.
He said a panchayat member was witness to the attack on Deepu who was involved in ensuring proper functioning of street light which had increased the popularity of
twenty20.
Making a mockery of Sreenijan’s claim that Deepu had died of Liver cirrhosis, Sabu said
a CT scan on Deepu showed that he had suffered hemorrhage and was in hospital for the last few days.
Sabu said that the situation in the four panchayats in Kunnathunad ruled by Twenty20 founded by him turned worse in the last 10 months after the election of Sreenijan.
People feared for their lives and were not willing to speak against Sreenijan as he had tremendous reach in different areas.
Sabu said it was scary to live in the state as the law and order situation has collapsed.
Sabu said he was feeling unsafe to live in the state.
Meanwhile, speaking to a TV channel, Sreenijan dismissed Sabu’s allegations and said that he was prepared to face any probe in the matter.
