Kochi: The debt-ridden KSRTC has appealed to the Kerala High Court to make good the losses of Rs 5.06 crore suffered by it during the hartal called by Popular Front of India the other day.
The KSRTC said that the losses include damage suffered by the buses and loss of revenue for not operating services due to the hartal.
The KSRTC had filed a petition seeking to implead in the case. A total of 58 buses were damaged and 10 staff suffered injuries.
The court had in an earlier observation said that losses suffered should be recovered from the sponsors of the hartal.
