Kochi: The fireworks (vedikettu) marking the culmination of Thrissur Pooram was postponed for the third time on Saturday due to unfavourable weather conditions.
The district administration and others involved in organising the event have decided to hold it when the situation becomes favourable.
The district administration decided not to announce a date for this.
The security in the area where the fireworks are stored has been beefed up.
A few people were detained for firing crackers near Thiruvambady temple.
The event was scheduled for 3 am on May 11 marking the culmination of Thrissur Pooram
festivities.
