Kochi: Actor and founder of DMDK Vijayakanth, 71, passed away in the wee hours of Thursday, media reports said.
He was suffering from Covid and
was on ventilator support.
Born August 25, 1952, Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswami was more popular by his stage name Vijayakanth.
Vijayakanth was the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016.
Vijayakanth also was a producer and a director.
He was elected MLA twice. His wife is Premlatha and has two sons.
