Kochi: In a daring and exemplary effort, a woman overpowered a chain snatcher by pulling him down from the two wheeler at Thiruvananthapuram, media reports said.
The young Ashwathy dragged Anil Kumar, 40, onto the road when he tried to snatch her three sovereign gold necklace on Saturday evening. Ashwathy held Anil’s shirt and two wheeler with all her might tripping him on the road after losing control over the vehicle which was stolen by him.
The people rushed to the spot and captured Anil Kumar and retrieved the chain which split into pieces in the process.Anil was handed over to police.
Both of them suffered injuries in the mele.The woman and her husband were returning after buying medicines when the incident occurred near Chenkottukonam junction.
