2 Judges recuse from hearing case

Kochi: A judge of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday recused from hearing the plea seeking a probe into alleged illegal access of memory card containing visuals of the actor abuse case of February 17, 2017, media reports said.
Two judges of the Kerala High Court have recused themselves from hearing the plea.
The first judge avoided the hearing as he was holding the charge of Registrar General when a similar complaint was made by the survivor some years ago.
The second judge on Wednesday cited no reason for not hearing the petition. This is the third time the judge has recused from hearing the plea.
The case relates to the abduction and sexual assault of a Malayalam film actress on February 17, 2017.
Actor Dileep, who was jailed for about 90 days in connection with the case, was acquitted by the Ernakulam Special Court in 2025. However, the court convicted
