Kochi: Within hours after a lower court sent
actor Allu Arjun to 14-judicial custody, the actor arrested in a stampede case, secured an interim bail from the Telangana High Court on Friday, media reports said.
Police had booked Allu and a few others in connection with the stampede that claimed the life of a woman Revathi, 35, whose son suffered serious injuries at Sandhya Theatre Pushpa-2 premiere on December 4.
The police arrested him today from his residence.
The Police had previously arrested three persons in connection with the stampede.
The police had booked Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under sections 105 and 118(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on the complaint of the kin of the deceased woman.
Arjun had moved the court challenging the FIR and other action against him.
