Kochi: Israel announced its resolution to ‘take control of all’ of Gaza even as a group of 22 countries including UK, France, Canada warned joint action like sanction against Tel Aviv, media reports said.
Britain, France and Canada condemned Israel’s “egregious actions” in Gaza.
Slamming those opposing Tel Aviv’s action, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu justified his country’s resolve to carry out attacks across Gaza.
Israel’s military said it had struck “160 terror targets” in Gaza over the past day. A total of 91 people were killed in Israeli attacks across the territory on Monday.
Netanyahu said that Israel “will not give up. But in order to succeed, we must act in a way that cannot be stopped”.
The 22 countries opposing Israel, said in a joint statement that Gaza’s population “faces starvation” and “must receive the aid they desperately need”.
Netanyahu said,”Israel accepts President Trump’s vision and urges all European leaders to do the same. The war can end tomorrow if the remaining hostages are released, Hamas lays down its arms, its murderous leaders are exiled, and Gaza is demilitarised…
Israel said the first five trucks entered Monday carrying supplies “including food for babies”.
Israel started action against Palestinians, after Hamas’ October 2023 attack on southern Israel killing 1,218 people in Israeli, mostly civilians.
