Poll trends shock BJP

Kochi: The result and trends in the bye-election in the country today have shocked the BJP which was basking under the glory of Operation Sindoor success meticulously executed by the government headed by the Saffron party.

It is high time the BJP realised that there is no reason for complacency over their past performances.

One can understand BJP failing terribly in Nilambur in Kerala,  but what happened to it in Gujarat where the Aam Aadmi Party was leading in one of the two seats. AAP was leading in Ludhiana West and Trinamool Congress in Bengal.

The saffron party appears to have ignored the interest of the common man who is struggling to meet their ends.

Issues including rising price of essential articles, high unemployment rate among others are not being addressed by the government.

While the government is pumping huge funds into modifying railway stations, it is not working towards generating employment for the youth even on contract basis.

It was a foregone conclusion that the Nilambur seat in Kerala would go in favour of either the Congress-led front or the Left front

due to the presence of a large section of Muslim population, the majority of whom are affiliated to the Indian Union Muslim League which is a traditional ally of the Congress for decades.
