Kochi: Brenden Valentine Crasto of Catholic Church from Pakistan became the third person to get Indian citizenship to settle down at Goa under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019.
A long-time resident of Anjuna in Goa, Brenden expressed gratitude after receiving the citizenship certificate.
Brenden had been waiting for a long time and was thankful for the fast process.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant handed over the certificate in Porvorim on Monday.
Sawant said that his government was committed to ensuring housing for the underprivileged through its flagship ‘Mera Ghar’ scheme.
