Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting German Chancellor Friedrich Merz held delegation-level talks in Ahmedabad on Monday, the Hindu reported.
The German Chancellor is on a two-day visit coinciding with the celebrations marking country’s 75 years of diplomatic relations.
The visit, which also marks 25 years of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership, is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri were also present at the meeting.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries and reviewed ongoing cooperation in trade, investment, technology, education, skilling, and mobility and explored collaboration in defence, security, science, innovation, research, and sustainable development.
