Kochi: The prosecution submitted an interim progress report of further investigation into the actor assault case in the trial court.
The prosecution said that it is in the middle of the investigation and it will take more time for it to present a full report.
Meanwhile, actor Dileep’s counsel demanded a copy of the preliminary report and appealed to the court to take into its custody the digital evidence possessed by the police.
Opposing this, the prosecution argued that the accused has no right to seek a copy of the report.
The court allowed the police to question four new witnesses on January 22.
The court will consider Dileep’s pleas on January 25. Dileep is eight accused in the case and was in jail for about three months.
