A blow to CPM in Kerala

Kochi: Leak of a complaint filed by a Chennai-based industrialist Mohammed Sharshad accusing a former SFI leader Rajesh Krishna of becoming a benami of some CPM leaders has delivered a blow to the CPM in Kerala ahead of the local bodies and Assembly polls.
Sharshad alleged that he suspected that the confidential letter sent to the CPM Politburo was allegedly leaked by CPM state secretary M V Govindan’s son Shyamjit.
Sharshad also accused Shyamjit of having links with Krishna.
Sharshad accused Rajesh of being involved in many financial dealings on behalf of senior CPM leaders.
Sharshad questioned how his private correspondence to the PB had reached Rajesh Krishna.
The letter addressed to party general secretary M A Baby, Sharshad expressed suspicion of the involvement of Shyam in the leak.
He further noted that a defamation suit filed against him by Rajesh Krishna relied on this confidential Politburo letter as primary evidence, raising questions about the leak and the handling of sensitive party information.
Sharshad expressed concern over the party not acting on his charges.
Meanwhile, there are reports of senior party leader E P Jayarajan giving support to Sharshad who hails from Kannur.
