Kochi: India defeated New Zealand by 46 runs to win the Twenty20 4-1 at Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.
India posted a huge total of 271 for 5 in 20 overs backed by Ishan Kishan’s 103 off 43 balls after opting to bat first.
Skipper Suryakumar Yadav scored 63 off 30 balls, Hardik Pandya 42 off 17.
New Zealand started shakily.
Finn Allen’s 80 off 38 gave some confidence to the visitors.
Arshdeep Singh’s five-wicket haul shattered the visitors.
