Kochi: V D Satheesan who led Congress to victory in assembly polls is now facing threat of losing out of the race for Chief Minister’s post in Kerala due to rivalry.
Satheesan’s fear of losing out the post has made him announce that he will not accept any other post in lieu of the post of Chief Minister.
K C Venugopal, MP, is having the advantage due to his proximity with Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi.
The senior leader Ramesh Chennithala is another aspirant for the Chief Minister post.
Rahul Gandhi has convened a meeting of former state presidents and working presidents of the Kerala Congress tomorrow to discuss the matter.
The party high command is unhappy with the show of strength by supporters of
Satheesan and Chennithala.
The tenure of the Kerala assembly is till May 23.
