Kochi: In a blow to the ruling LDF in Kerala, CPM MLA and actor Mukesh has been booked under non bailable offense for sexual abuse of a film actor, media reports said.
Marad police have registered a case.
LDF ally CPI leader Annie Raja demanded the resignation of the 67-year old Mukesh. She said Mukesh had no right to continue as MLA from Kollam where the CPM district unit has strongly criticized the actor.
Earlier, a total of 100 women activists had demanded in a memorandum seeking resignation of Mukesh.
Mukesh has a poor track record as his first wife and noted actress Sarita had accused him of atrocities against him.
