Kochi: The saga of Police personnel commiting suicide in Kerala continues with a fresh case was recorded at Palakkad on Saturday, media reports said.
Cheruplasserey Station House Officer Binu Thomas, 52, a native of Kozhikode was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his quarters.
The reason behind the Officer taking the extreme step is not known.
Thomas was transferred only six months back.
Though there is no official figure on the number of Policemen committing suicide in Kerala, the News Minute reported in 2024 that 88 cops ended their lives in five years.
