Kochi: Popular Front of India by (PFI) state leader Yahya Thangal, who organised the controversial march at Alappuzha the other day, was arrested today.
Yahya, a member of the state committee of the party, was detained from his house in Perumpilavu in Thrissur in the wee hours.
It was in the event ‘Janamahasammelanam’
where a ten-year-old boy raised controversial slogans.
He is also facing charges of making
objectionable remarks against some including Kerala High Court Judge in connection with granting bail to former MLA P C George in connection during a march to SP office.
Local people and popular front leaders gathered near his house.
They tried to block the police vehicle to proceed to Alappuzha carrying Yahya Thangal.
Meanwhile, the boy was given counseling at Ernakulam General Hospital and childline. The boy’s father and 19 others have been arrested.
