Kochi: A local court in Pathanamthitta has directed police to register a case against former Kerala Minister K T Jaleel for making objectionable remarks on Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
The Judicial First Class Magistrate, Tiruvalla, issued the direction on a petition filed by an RSS leader Arun Mohan who said the remarks made by Jaleel were not factual and against the country’s interests.
Arun said that remarks made by Jaleel invites
153 B of IPC, Imputations, assertions prejudicial to national-integration and Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 (2).
The petitioner had first approached the police seeking to book Jaleel but the police refused to entertain the complaint. The petitioner had mentioned this in his petition.
