Cops intensity probe into bomb attack

Kochi: Investigation into hurling of explosives at  the CPM state head office AKG Centre late last night has been intensified triggering violence against Congress office in Kottayam on Saturday.
The investigation is being conducted by a team supervised by Thiruvanathapuram city police commissioner Sparjan Kumar.
Cases under IPC 436 Explosives Act 3(A) have been registered.
The bomb exploded without causing any damage to humans or materials.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the office today even as other leaders visited the centre soon after the incident.
The CCTV clippings showed an unidentified person coming on a two wheeler and hurling the explosive.
Tension between the ruling front constituent CPM and Congress is at its height after Congress organised protests across the state seeking resignation of Kerala Chief Minister
Pinarayi Vijayan in the wake of serious allegations against him and his family made by diplomatic gold smuggling accused Swapna Suresh.
Recently, the CPM’s SFI had attacked former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s office in Wayanad from where he was elected to the Lok Sabha.
The attackers also allegedly damaged Mahatma Gandhi’s photos and statue in Waynad.
Meanwhile, CPM took out protest marches across the state against the bomb hurling incident.
