Kochi: A blogger and youtuber, Kiran Anand Namboodiri, is the new head priest of the famous Sree Krishna Temple at Guruvayur in Thrissur.
An ayurveda doctor by profession, Kiran, 34, operated a clinic in Moscow for six months. He was also in Dubai for sometime.
Kiran did his studies from Coimbatore Ayurveda Pharmacy. Kiran is specialising in music therapy as he has a good knowledge of it.
Kiran was the best performer in the CBSE Art fFestival held for school students in 1997-98 and 1998-99.
Kiran is upbeat about getting the new appointment and wants to return to blogging and music activities once his term ends after six months. He also aims at starting a clinic in Perinthalmanna and Guruvayoor.
Kiran was selected through a draw of lots from among 42 aspirants. He will take over the charge by going through the traditional pujas and rituals on September 30 night.
His grandfather was head priest of the temple five times.
