Kochi: St Ephrems Basketball Academy, Mannanam, has added another feather to its cap as one of its players, Krishnalal Mukesh, has been picked up by the US-based NBA academy.
He is the third player from Kerala to achieve this feat. A member of Kerala State junior team, Krishna Lal was being trained in the academy for the last two years.
Son of railways’ coach Mukesh Lal, Krishna Lal was trained by Prem Kumar V M, Kerala Sports Council and Aji Thomas..The academy is going to honour him for his achievements at a function to be inaugurated by Cooperation Minister V N Vasavan at 1.30 pm in Darshana auditorium on Thursday.
Thomas Chazhikadan, MP, Mons Joseph, MLA, Athirampuzha panchayat president Saji Thadathil, panchayat member Shaji Joseph, Fr Mathews Chackalakkal, (Prior), Fr James Mullassery, Biju V Gurukkal, (district sports council) , St Ephrems school principal James P Jacob, Michael Cyriac, Headmaster, will attend the the function.
Fr Antony Kanjirathingal, Sports Director of the academy, said in a press release.
