Kochi: Telugu Desam Party chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was remanded to judicial custody in an alleged Rs 300 crore corruption case by a Court in Andhra Pradesh today.
The Vijayawada Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court, before which Naidu was produced in connection with a Rs 300 crore scam, rejected his bail plea and remanded him to 14 days judicial custody, media reports said.
Meanwhile, the party is making urgent moves to seek bail from the High Court.
Naidu told the court that he was falsely implicated in the case for political gains. Naidu was arrested in connection with an alleged ₹ 300-crore Skill Development Corporation scam on Saturday.
