Kochi: The HRDS has ended its association with the Diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh in the wake of allegations raised against the outfit for giving asylum to the accused.
Swapna had joined the outfit in February and was working from Palakkad.
Swapna had recently moved her residence to Kochi to facilitate her questioning by the Enforcement Directorate in the wake of Swapna giving a secret statement before the court against Kerala Chief Minister and others.
The Chief Minister had recently referred to Swapna getting support from HRDS describing it as BJP backed NGO.
HRDS secretary Aji Krishnan had said it would protect Swapna as a victim and also confirmed its association with Sangh Parivar.
