Kochi: One person was killed and 26 were injured, four of them seriously, as a private bus turned turtle at National Highway 66 in Kuttipuram due to high speed on Sunday reports said.
The deceased was identified as Vaishnaw from Kozhikode.The bus ‘Defender’ was operating between Kozhikode to Thrissur when it met with the accident.
The bus, which was travelling with jam packed passengers at a very high speed, overturned after hitting the road divider on a car on a rainy day, reports said.
Absence of Police monitoring has led to vehicles violating speed norms and other traffic rules.
