Kochi: Supreme Court today rejected former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) member K P Shankardas’ plea seeking to remove High Court of Kerala’s remarks against him in Sabarimala gold loot case.
Delivering the verdict, the Apex Court observed that those who were in the helm of the TDB in 2019 when the heist took place cannot wash off their hands from their responsibility.
The court observed that what had happened in Sabarimala was a massive irregularity.
The High Court of Kerala had expressed concern over the Special Investigation Team probing the case delaying the arrest of Left leaders Shankardas and Vijayakumar who has already surrendered.
Over ten accused have been arrested in the case.
