Kochi: A Chinese woman with fictitious credentials was arrested by Delhi police
for alleged “anti-national activities”, media reports said.
A native of Hainan province in China, the woman identified as Cai Ruo was residing in India claiming to be a Nepalese citizen, the reports said. The police found from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office that she was a Chinese citizen and came to India in 2019, they said.
She was detained from Majnu Ka Tila. A case was booked under section 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 419 (cheating by personation), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Foreigners Act, the reports said.
