Kochi: Despite asking Israel to halt aggression against Iran, the US attacked Iranian defence systems after an American helicopter was downed over the Strait of Hormuz.
Describing it as retaliatory strikes on Iran,
Firas Maksad, managing director of the Middle East and North Africa Eurasia told BBC that the action was a tit-for-tat between the US and Iran.
Maksad hoped it would not backslide into an all-out war.
Radar targets, military facilities along the Iranian coastline, around the Strait of Hormuz, only were targeted.
