Kochi: Burglars looted three kg of gold from a gold business man’s house at Kuranjiyoor in Guruvayur in Thrissur.
The intruders broke into the house through the upstairs on Thursday night when the businessman Balan and wife had gone to Thrissur.
They were not in the house from 7.30 pm to 10 pm.
Two gold ingots weighing one kg each, three ingots weighing 116 grams, bangles, necklace and other articles were looted.
A few workers were employed in the house a few days back. The police investigation is based on these workers, police said.
Balan had been doing business in the Gulf since 1968 and was living with his family there. They returned recently to settle down in Guruvayur.
