Kochi: Eleven heart patients died at Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research within 24 hours.
The patients were suffering from severe cardiac conditions and were receiving treatment at the institution, media reports said.
Family members of some of the deceased have openly expressed anger and questioned the functioning of the hospital administration and medical staff.
Relatives have also raised questions regarding emergency medical care. They alleged that doctors were not readily available during crucial emergency situations. Some family members further claimed that they were unable to obtain doctors’ contact details and were not receiving adequate information regarding the condition and treatment of patients.
