Kochi: Three members of a family were detained in connection with the abduction of the 6-year-old Abigel Sara Reji who was later found abandoned in Kollam city, media reports said.
The arrested, which included two male and a female, belonged to Chathannoor in Kollam.They were arrested in Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu by a special squad from Kollam.
Abigel’s father Reji is a nurse working in a private hospital in Pattanamthitta. Reji is the president of Pattanamthitta district unit of the United Nursing Association. The police suspect that the abduction is connected with some financial issues related to nursing recruitment and nursing admission, the reports said.
Abigel was kidnapped while she was going for tuition with her brother the other day.
