Kochi: In a shocking incident, a 39 year old CEO of a Bengaluru based startup, Suchana Seth, was detained in connection with the death of her four-year-old son, media reports said.
She was detained in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district while she was returning from Goa to Bengaluru in a taxi, the reports said.
The police were alerted by a housekeeping staff who found blood stains in the bed in the apartment where she had camped in Goa. Police examined CCTV footage and found that her son was not with her.
The hotel staff told the police that Suchana insisted on traveling to Bengaluru by taxi despite availability of flight.
When police contacted Suchana and asked about her son, she said that he was at her friend’s place which turned out to be false.
The police contacted the taxi driver and directed him to take her to the police station where the police detained her and found the body of her son in a bag.
Police have not found any motive behind the crime.
Suchana of West Bengal was staying separate from her husband who was based abroad.
