Kochi: Calicut University has been closed indefinitely following unrest in the campus, media reports said.
The university will not open until further notification.
Students have been asked to vacate hostels.
The campus has witnessed violent incidents since yesterday evening.
The decision to close the university was taken for the safety of students, Vice Chancellor P Ravindran said.
