Kochi: Possible attempt to trigger train mishap was unearthed near Soranur in Palakkad division leading to arrest of a person on Tuesday.
The RPF has detained a person of Bihar in connection with the incident.
Heavy objects were found at three locations on the railway tracks between Ottapalam and Shoranur, media reports said.
The objects were discovered at
Mannannur, Karakad ‘A’ Cabin and between Ottapalam and Shoranur between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
The items recovered included a piece of railway track, concrete slab, and a sack of solidified cement.
Trains going toward Chennai
and those through Konkan pass the route where the incriminating articles were found.
