HC rejects Bora’s plea

Kochi: The Delhi High Court on Friday rejected All India Students’ Association (AISA) president Neha Bora’s plea against a police notice directing her to execute a bond before a Special Executive Magistrate to “keep peace”.
Rejecting the writ petition, the court issued directions to the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) to provide Neha with all relevant material related to the proceedings, Times of India reported.
Bora argued that the Police notice was vague, factually incorrect and unsupported by material establishing the likelihood of a breach of peace.
Bora was taken into preventive detention on October 16 while on her way to participate in the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ march at Central Park in Connaught Place. She was released the following day.
