Kochi: In a revolutionary decision, the new AAP government has announced 300 units of free electricity to households in Punjab.
At a time when people in Punjab were tortured with hefty power bills, the decision comes as a blessing.
The decision was announced by the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after holding discussions with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in New Delhi.
The AAP had promised in its manifesto to offee free electricity to the people suffering from huge amount slapped on them by the previous government.
The offer will be implemented from July.
The decision is also a blow to the previous Congress government which did nothing much for the benefit of the people.
It is also a shock to the BJP led government which is constantly engaged in increasing fuel, lpg among others.
