Political murders becomes scarry

Kochi: The killing of SDPI leaders and BJP in the last few months has painted a scary picture of the state which was once known for its peaceful coexistence.

The killing of a SDPI leader Subair, 43, in Elappully Palakkad by assailants traveling in two cars appears terrorizing.

Subair was returning home with his father Abu Baker in Elappully in Palakkad when the incident took place.

Subair was questioned by Police in connection with Sanjit’s killing.

Sanjit, 27, of RSS was hacked to death about four months back in Palakkad on November 15. Police had arrested a few SDPI activists in this connection.

Alappuzha SDPI state secretary K S Shan, 38, was killed on December 18 and the BJP Yuva Morcha leader Ranjit Sreenivas, 40, the next day on December 19.

Common people in Kerala are shaken over recurrence of such incidents in close quarters.

The police have not named anyone in the FIR in Subair’s killing.
The FIR was prepared on the basis of the
statement given by Subair’s father Abu Baker who was returning home with him when the assailants in two cars attacked Subair.

The investigation has been extended to neighbouring states.
Condoling the death, the SDPI has blamed the RSS for the murder and has urged the government to act fast to nab the culprits.
SDPI said Kerala is turning out to be a turf for the Sangh Parivar.

The RSS has denied any role in the murder of Subair who was Elappully Panchayat Committee member.
