Kochi: Another killing of an RSS activist Sreenivasan, 45, rocks Palakkad hours after the slaying of an SDPI leader Subair in the district on Saturday.
Six assailants in three two wheelers reached the shop at Melamuri. They barged into his automobile shop and hacked him at around 1 pm, media reports said.
Sreenivasan, a former Sharreerik Shikshan Pramukh, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The BJP has accused the SDPI of killing Sreenivasan.
Security has been beefed up in the district to prevent escalation of the violence.
