Kochi: India sealed the ODI series against South Africa 2-1 by beating the visitors by seven wickets in the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi today.
Winning the toss, India sent in South Africa to bat first and got the desired result by crushing South Africa by bundling out them for 99 in 27.1 overs.
Only Klassen showed some resistance against India’s attack to make 34 runs.
Malan, 15, and Jansen ,14, were the other batsmen who managed to reach double figure. Kuldeep Yadav was the most successful bowler claiming four wickets while Washington Sundar, Mohammad Siraj and Shahbaz Ahmed took two wickets each. Chasing the target of 100 runs, India made 105 for 3 in 19.1 overs.
Shubhman Gill missed a half century by one run while Shreyas Iyer made 28. Ngidi and Fortuin claimed one wicket each. Siraj was selected player of the series and Kuldeep Yadav player of the match.
