Kochi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has finally
admitted that its leader Swati Maliwal, MP,
was misbehaved by Bibhav Kumar who is
the Personal Secretary of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will take strict action against Bibhav Kumar who allegedly assaulted Maliwal at Chief Minister’s residence where she had gone to meet Kejriwal on Monday.
Maliwal went to the Civil Lines police station and said that Arvind Kejriwal’s personal staff misbehaved with her. She also made PCR calls after the incident.
“…This is a highly condemnable incident. Kejriwal has taken cognisance of it and will take strict action in the incident,” Sanjay Singh said while addressing a press conference.
Delhi BJP chief Virendraa Sachdeva alleged that Maliwal is being silenced due to political pressure and efforts are being made to suppress the entire incident.
Media on Monday reported about the incident in which police said there was no complaint by Maliwal, who too kept mum on the issue.
Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women condemned the assault and said that it will conduct an inquiry into the matter.
