Kochi: Malayalam veteran actor late Balan K Nair’s son and actor Meghanathan, 60,
passed away in Kozhikode in Kerala in the wee hours of Thursday, media reports said.
He was undergoing treatment for lung related ailments at a private hospital in Kozhikode.
He is survived by wife and two daughters. The funeral will be held in the premises of his house in Shoranur, Palakkad, on Thursday.
Meghanathan was brought up in Chennai.
Meghanathan made his debut in Malayalam film Asthram in 1983. He has acted in over 50 movies including Panchagni, Chamayam, Chenkol, Oru Maravathur Kanavu, Prayikkara Pappan, Malappuram Haji Mahanaya Joji, Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum, Rashtram, Kudamattam, Ee Puzhayum Kadannu and Action Hero Biju.
